Drag Racing Baby!

The other night our friends called and wanted us to Girl Scout night at the races. They had free tickets and Gracie got in free too, so we were so there! Finally something for Nolan to enjoy! It seems he's always having to put up with doing things the girls like to do. He was in hog heaven! Not once did he say he was bored! That's got to be a record. The picture below shows the racers spinning their tires to warm them up. Nolan took a lot of these pic's.

In between heats, (or whatever you call them) They had stunt riders on motorcycles. It was so fun to watch!

The girls loved that Herbie the Love Bug was there. You know how every bug is Herbie if it's white!

Our friends knew one of the racers so all the kids got to be strapped into his car. We had a great time cheering for him during his races.

Just some of the other cars that were there. We also saw some of those jet cars that run on rocket fuel. They got up to 206 mph and really shook your body, especially if you were standing near the fence. We ended the night with a huge fireworks show and then another stunt guy blew himself up in a car. That was pretty exciting! Delaney was the only one that said she wouldn't want to come back. She hated the loud noise, even with ear plugs.
