Pool Days

The kids love going to the pool. Mom does not, but does it anyway. This year I would drive 1 block away from the pool so they wouldn't know it was open yet until one day I forgot and they saw the kids playing. (I'm such a bad mom!) Every day it's "Can we please go to the pool today?" Sometimes I can convince dad to take them, but more often then not, it's me. It's never as bad as I dreaded it to be. Sometimes I actually enjoy it!
Gracie and Nolan learned to go off the diving board last year and love it. Delaney is quite content to stay in the shallow end and doesn't even want to ge her face wet. We are working on that. This is the first day of swimming for us, with many more to come!

just wanted you to know i hit "next blog" and it brought me to yours...it made me smile because we're from Nebraska and we recently went on vacation to boston. I was wearing a "nebraska" shirt, and a little girl (with her sweet new england accent) says, "Daddy, is Nebraska a different country?" kinda cute....however later on our trip when we some random people (probably early 20's)in the store said we had "funny" accents, we told them where we were from, and they asked us how it was flying over the ocean and then proceeded to tell us we speak very good english. so weird..... anyway just wanted to let you know you're not the only one people are confused about!

You crack me up - driving a block out of your way to avoid the pool. That is something I would totally do!
